Ponsonby Tiny House

Our Auckland customers Stephan and Maureen recently completed their “tiny home” and are delighted with the finished look, enhanced by the extensive use of bamboo joinery throughout the house.

“Roy from Fine Works Design made the carcasses of the kitchen for us and helped cut the Plantation bamboo panels on his heavy-duty saw. Stephan made and fixed all the bamboo wall shelves and kitchen paneling himself” said Maureen. “He also did all the finishing, but it was great to have Roy’s assistance – he was just amazing and was also reasonably priced. We highly recommend him” she added.

Vertical Bamboo panels (15mm, 18mm and 40mm thick), in natural colour feature throughout the tiny home – being used as cabinetry, stairs, tables, doors, vanity and shelves. The finish used was WOCA oil (white colour).

Stephan and Maureen maximised the use of the 2440x1220mm bamboo panel size to great effect.

They created a tiny home with beautiful natural tones and made great use of the limited space available.
